What About Bob?

Bob brings a unique background to his defense of the Christian worldview. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Bob served as an aviator in the U.S. Marine Corps and became a tactical instructor pilot in one of the most unique airplanes in the world – the AV-8B Harrier. After 8 years in the Corps, Bob switched cockpits to pursue a career in commercial aviation. He now serves as a Captain for a major U.S. airline and has amassed over 16,000 hours of flight experience in 28 different types of aircraft. Along the way, Bob's intense interest in defending his convictions led him to complete a Masters Degree in Christian Apologetics (Highest Honors) at Biola University. His ministry is a testament to the fact that his love for God Almighty is only reinforced and complemented by his love for flying airplanes.

Bob's approach to ministry draws from all aspects of that background to combine clear-thinking, substantive reasoning, and lessons learned during his aviation career into a distinctive, upbeat, passionately delivered defense of the Christian worldview. He can speak, teach or lead discussions with your church, school or youth group by addressing topics as diverse as:

  • Christian Apologetics (General)
  • Defense of the Pro-Life Position
  • Arguments for the Existence of God
  • Truth, Goodness, and Beauty In A Postmodern Culture
  • "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist" (a CrossExamined Presentation)
  • The Truth Project
  • Tactics For Defending the Faith
  • The Biblical Creation Model
  • Scientific Apologetics
  • Reconciling Science & Faith
  • Biblical Reliability
  • Worldview Analysis & Training for Adult and High School audiences

Bob has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1985 and has five sons. He enjoys running, reading, teaching, and writing. Bob is a contributing writer for the Christian Research Journal and has been published in several national magazines. He still loves to fly and has spent much of his last 30 years on this planet looking down on it from above. Doing so offers him not only an incredible office view, but a unique perspective for his ministry, and an awestruck appreciation for his Creator.
